Annual Celebration of the Club's Unique History
From 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm
Founders Dinner annually honors our 108-year Club history and our founding principles of comaraderie and community. This year's Founders Dinner will focus on the decade of the 1970s -- the time of Laugh-In!, Watergate and the Apollo Mission to the Moon. Following cocktails (what do you think was the most popular 1970s cocktail?) and a great dinner featuring food of the 1970s (Cheese Ball Log with crackers appetizer, Pineapple Chicken over rice, Salad with Green Goddess Dressing (other dressings available on request) finished off with Watergate Cake. (Vegetarian meal available on advance request).
Entertainment by Rick Millward - Emmy-nominated singer songwriter performing music of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Band, The Eagles and others (some of which will surprise you!). PLUS - Be challenged with a fun game identifying real (but unusual) Oregon events of the 1970s from among "competing" entirely bogus choices (think NPR's Whad''ya Know).
We're also inviting you to email a 1970s picture of yourself and we'll assemble an album from which you can try guess the identity of each. Send your pictures to Submit Picture.
AND -- of course -- the surprise presentation of this year's Bull Throwing Award!
Join your friends at the Club for a fun evening -- and feel free to bring guests! Cocktail Hour at 5:30 and dinner 6:30. $45 per person. Registrations are due by Monday, November 5.
