May Speaker Lunch – Peter Sage

Up Close with the Presidential Candidates

From 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm

Club Member Peter Sage is back on the road, looking at presidential candidates up close, most recently in New Hampshire. He writes about his observations in a daily blog and has about 2,000 daily readers.  He looks at quirky things: how candidates hold their hands, whether they talk or shout, how big the crowds are, and, of course, what they say. He says his goal is to be objective and descriptive.

In New Hampshire he saw Republican challenger William Weld, and Democratic unknowns Marianne Williamson and John Delaney. He also saw the better known Eric Swalwell (often on CNN), Beto O’Rourke of Texas, Indiana’s "Mayor Pete" Buttigieg, Finance sector expert Elizabeth Warren, climate focused Washington’s Jay Inslee, and veteran and war-critic Hawaii’s Tulsi Gabbard.

Reservations are due by Monday, May 6.
