Where Past Meets Present: - The Amazing People, Places & Stories of Southern Oregon

Historian Dennis Powers recently finished a 470-page  book about Southern Oregon’s amazing people, places and stories. He’ll share stores from his book as our November lunch speaker.  

Originally an attorney Dennis  eventually turned to writing books including a maritime series which resulted in national book tours. Following his retirement from Southern Oregon University, he has written over 200 scripts for Jefferson Public Radio’s “As It Was” series and over 250 scripts for his continuing “Past and Present” weekly show on KMED, 1440-AM. He’s also     authored “Images of America: Gold Hill,” created the CD, “Past and Present: What You Might Not Know (But Want To) About Southern Oregon History.
